Steamship cruises

The historic steamship S/S Heinävesi sails the waters of Lake Kallavesi with cruises departing from both Bellanranta and Kuopio Harbour. In addition to scenic two-hour cruises, Saimaan Laivamatkat offers special themed cruises for families with children, where little passengers can explore the steamship, learn about the captain’s duties and complete fun onboard tasks.

S/S Heinävesi also operates canal cruises from Kuopio to Savonlinna and back. The historic Heinävesi route has been recognized as one of Finland’s national landscapes and is part of the country’s most valued scenic areas.
