Korkeakoski in Maaninka

Korkeakoski is Finland’s highest uniform waterfall. Korkeakoski is located in Maaninka and it is very popular sight especially during the spring floods. The total total drop height of Korkeakoski is 36 metres.

In the gorge valley of Korkeakoski, there is a nature reserve of about 35 hectares. The steep slopes of the gorge form an exceptional terrain conditions.

The waterfall is right next to the parking area in Korkeakoskentie 111, 71775 Tuovilahti. There’s accessible, short route to the upper viewing platform from the parking area. There’s also a small café (open during summer), a toilet, a campfire site and a nature trail Kanjonin kierros (5,5km), “the canyon tour”, in the area.
