Puijo Chairlift
Chairlift to the Puijo hill
With the chairlift, you can easily reach, for example, Puijo’s restaurants, or just enjoy the outdoors and admire the landscapes of Puijo. It serves ski jumpers and skiers, but also those who wish to visit the summit of Puijo.
The lower station of the chair lift is located in Puijo Monttu, to the left of the ski jumps (when viewed from the direction of the ski stadium).
The lift has a total of 43 chairs, each with two seats. Children may only ride the lift with a parent. The operation of the lift is handled by Mestar Oy.
Opening hours
- 24 December 2026 – 6 January 2027, daily 12:00-16:00.
- Opening hours for the Finnish school winter holidays and other upcoming holiday periods will be confirmed closer to the time.
Tickets
The Puijo chairlift is free of charge during the Christmas holidays.
Location and parking
The nearest parking area for the chair lift is located right next to the ski jumps. When coming from the city center along Suurmäentie, continue past the ski stadium towards Julkula and turn right in the direction indicated by the sign “P – Puijon urheilualue, Mäet”.
The shortest route from the ski stadium parking lot and the bus stop closest to the ski jumps (Puijon tuolihissi P, lines 7 and 9 or Hiihtäjäntie L and I, line 6) to the chair lifts runs along the pedestrian path in front of the Puijo ski stadium building.
